Life Saving Efforts

On Monday, June 26, 2017 at 9:08 pm, Officer Danny Mendoza noticed a pickup truck with its hazard lights on the side of the road near Exit 19 on I-575 Southbound. Officer Mendoza pulled over to see if he could assist the driver and found the passenger door open with a male unconscious on the ground and a female unresponsive sitting in the passenger seat. Officer Mendoza recognized both individuals exhibited signs they were suffering from a drug overdose and began CPR on the female while an unknown "Good Samaritan" checked for a pulse and cleared the airway of the unconscious male.
