Burglary Investigation

On Sunday, June 28, 2015, at 8:30 am., Canton Police Officers were dispatched to the Subway located at 2000 Riverstone Boulevard in reference to the report of a forced entry burglary. Upon Officers’ arrival, they discovered the store clerk was opening for business when she observed that a large glass window on the western side of the restaurant was shattered. Officers also located a large rock that appeared to be the instrument that the suspect (s) used to break the glass and make entry. Further investigation revealed, whoever entered the store had received a serious cut due to the amount of blood that was scattered throughout the Subway location.

Police Detectives were called to the scene and collected the evidence needed to begin an investigation into who was responsible for the felony crime. Over the coming days, Detectives worked hard and developed good leads in the case. On Thursday, July 09, 2015, Detectives arrested Mr. Elijah Vincent Mullins age: 19 of Canton and charged him with the Burglary of the Riverstone Subway.

Canton Chief of Police Mark Mitchell stated, “Our Detectives dedicated themselves to finding who was responsible for this crime. Their excellent investigative work was vital to bringing resolution to this case and I commend their resolve to continuing our efforts to improve the quality of life for the citizens and businesses in our community.”
