On 08/19/2015 at approximately 10:00 AM a Canton Police
Officer responded to a 911 call of a suspicious male looking inside of vehicles
near Riverstone Plaza (1451 Riverstone Parkway). The Officer located the
suspect and began interviewing him and located suspected methamphetamine in his
pants pocket. The suspect then fled on foot into the wood line behind the
shopping center. Several minutes later the suspect was located by another
Canton Officer in the wood line and arrested without incident.
The Canton Police Department appreciated the assistance of
the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia State Patrol during the
incident.
