Arrest of BB&T Bank Robbery Suspect
On September 20, 2016, information was obtained in regards to
a possible suspect in the robbery of the BB&T Bank located at 152
Prominence Pointe Parkway, Canton Georgia. This information was provided from
the public after soliciting assistance through media and social media outlets
by our Community Relations Officer.
The Uniform Patrol Division and the Criminal Investigations
Division was able to obtain further incriminating information that was verified
to identify and arrest the suspect.
The investigation is ongoing to be followed up on as
additional information is generated during the identification and arrest of the
suspect.
The suspect was identified as John S. Adams, 59 years of age
from Canton Ga. He was arrested without
incident and taken to the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center. Adams was charged with Robbery
