Police Detectives actively working the shooting investigation
that occurred at 204 Alpine Street on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, have uncovered
additional factors surrounding the incident.
Further investigation has revealed, the shooting happened as the result
of possible drug activity or a narcotics transaction. Detectives have received very little
cooperation from members who reside in the home and were at the residence the
time the crime took place.
Additionally, further inquiry from a local hotel has produced
a video of a vehicle of interest in this case.
The video of the car is currently being released because it was very
near the residence just before and after when the shooting happened.
Anyone having information about the incident or the vehicle
in the video is urged to call 911 or the Police Department at

Canton Police Detectives are continuing their active investigation into the shooting of Luke Crisp, 16 yrs. old of Canton, Georgia. He is currently listed in stable condition and is being treated at WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia.

The 16 year old male that was shot earlier this morning was transported from Northside Cherokee Hospital to Kennestone Hospital and is currently in stable condition. The crime scene is currently still being processed.
Canton Police Detectives are actively seeking persons of interest regarding the case. Detectives would like to ask any witnesses to come forward and please call the Police Department with any information.

Canton units are currently on scene of a person shot at 204 Alpine Street. Just before 2:30 am., Officers were dispatched to the above location and upon arrival found a 16 year old, white male victim on a living room couch with an apparent gunshot wound to his chest area. At this time, Officers and Detectives are working the crime scene, obtaining witness statements and securing a search warrant for the residence. We are working to identify a suspect as well in the crime.
The young victim has been transported to Northside Cherokee Hospital and his condition is not known at this time.
